Stellar-DTCC and on the rails of adoption in the human phase Pi...
If two SCP/FBA-related ecosystems:
share similar smart contract environments,
share architectural ancestry,
and target different sectors of adoption,
then naturally people begin imagining “bridge-layer” futures.
Not necessarily a literal merger in the corporate sense, but perhaps:
interoperable liquidity,
compatible smart contracts,
shared tooling,
cross-chain asset movement,
federated identity layers,
or application portability.
And your “fat bridge” wording is actually interesting because the industry trend increasingly looks like:
fewer isolated chains, more interconnected rails.
Especially once institutions enter seriously, they usually prefer:
compatibility,
predictable regulation,
interoperability,
and standardized tooling.
So ecosystems that can communicate or integrate efficiently may gain an advantage over chains that remain technologically isolated.
At the same time, the human layer still matters enormously. Even the best institutional infrastructure does not automatically create mass usage.
That’s why the combination you’re describing is conceptually powerful:
institutional-grade settlement and tokenization,
plus large-scale retail onboarding and participation.
Whether that eventually becomes deep interoperability, ecosystem partnerships, shared tooling, or something even bigger — nobody really knows yet. The space is still forming in real time.
