Are you aware that the international financial messaging standard ISO 20022 is gaining attention? Cryptocurrencies that comply with this standard announced by SWIFT are actually limited.

Bitcoin and Ethereum do not support this standard. They were created in 2009 and 2015, respectively, before the standard was announced. On the other hand, XRP is the leading cryptocurrency that supports ISO 20022.

Recently, XRP's movements are interesting. In October 2024, it was below $0.6, but now it has risen to $1.36. It may be heading toward its all-time high of $3.65. This development reminds us of the $3.8 high in 2018.

ADA is also attracting attention as a cryptocurrency compatible with ISO 20022. Currently at $0.25, but the journey to its 2021 high of $3.09 is still long. However, its compatibility with this standard is being reevaluated in the market.

XLM is at $0.14, and HBAR is at $0.09, still at low levels, but if demand related to ISO 20022 increases, these cryptocurrencies could also face upward pressure.

ALGO and IOTA are struggling. ALGO has fallen 85% from its all-time high, and IOTA has dropped over 90%. However, there are signs of slight recovery since entering 2025.

QNT is at $72.95, and XDC is at $0.04. Both are cryptocurrencies that support this standard, but their market evaluation is still in the early stages.

SWIFT has been operating for over 50 years as the world's most important interbank settlement system. The transition to ISO 20022 began in 2022 and is scheduled to be completed by 2025. In other words, cryptocurrencies that support this standard could play an important role in future financial infrastructure integration.

How the seemingly modest but substantial factor of standard support will influence the cryptocurrency market is likely to be a key theme this year.
