Just went down a rabbit hole looking at the world's most expensive things ever sold and honestly some of these are wild. Like there's this yacht called History Supreme that costs 4.5 billion dollars. Four point five BILLION. Apparently it's covered in gold and platinum everywhere - the railings, the deck, literally everything. It's not even the biggest yacht out there but somehow it's the priciest.
Then you've got this mansion in Mumbai called Antilia owned by some Indian billionaire. 2 billion for a house. A HOUSE. With 27 stories and three helipads because I guess regular elevators aren't enough. Meanwhile I'm over here stressed about rent.
The art world is equally insane. Some painting called The Card Players sold for 275 million. There's also a Picasso that went for 104 million and a Klimt painting worth 135 million. Like these are just sitting on walls somewhere while regular people debate whether to buy coffee.
What's crazier - that these things exist or that someone actually has the money to buy them? The world's most expensive things really put things in perspective about wealth inequality lol
