Manus founder plans to raise $1 billion to revoke Meta's acquisition and seek a listing in Hong Kong
Bloomberg reports that the three founders of Manus are discussing a buyback with external funding, planning to raise approximately $1 billion to respond to the Meta deal being revoked by regulators.
The buyback valuation will be at least equal to the $2 billion offer, with the founders possibly funding the difference themselves, planning to establish a joint venture in China and list in Hong Kong.
Regulators have explicitly blocked the flow of sensitive technology to U.S-based companies, and related plans are still in preliminary discussion.
Employees have already transferred to Meta's Singapore office, most early investors have exited, and the founders may also give up.
