Recently, I’ve been watching that “sandwich + arbitrage” kind of thing on-chain. Honestly, every time I hit confirm, I find myself thinking: am I seeing an opportunity, or am I just paying someone else a nice late-night snack fee… Sometimes once slippage kicks in, the trade still gets executed, but inside I feel a little hollow—like someone reached behind and tapped my pocket.

A couple of days ago, I also kept seeing the whole narrative around modularization and the DA layer. Developers are genuinely pretty excited, but for someone like me—an ordinary user—it’s more like: Huh? So why did I end up paying a bit more gas again… Either way, before I even figure out whether I’ve really understood, my wallet has already gone a little lighter.

Later, I just set reminders and limits for myself. Small positions follow the rules—no impulsive decisions. Strangely enough, once I set that up, I felt more grounded. That urge to “go for one more” faded, missing out didn’t feel quite so bad, and before bed I no longer keep refreshing the transaction records over and over. For now, let’s just do this and slowly make peace with the market.
