I've been looking for the best trading apps to start with little money, and honestly, I found some quite accessible options. What surprised me was that you no longer need thousands of dollars to get into this; there are platforms that let you start with just $5 or $20.
I began researching MiTrade because I saw that many beginners recommended it. The interface is clean, without much noise, and you can trade stocks, forex, gold, Bitcoin—all from a single account. The minimum deposit is $20, which is pretty good. They offer a demo account with $50,000 virtual funds for 90 days, so you can try it risk-free. What makes it special is that it integrates TradingView charts directly into the app, and the spreads are tight. Perfect if you're just starting out.
But if you already have experience and are looking for more tools, AvaTrade offers MetaTrader 4 and 5, over 1,200 assets, and distinguishes between retail and professional accounts. The minimum deposit is $100. Plus500 is another option with more than 2,800 CFDs and quite advanced technology, though it also requires a $100 minimum.
XM is interesting if you want high leverage (up to 1:1000) and work with MetaTrader. The minimum deposit is only $5, the lowest I’ve seen. And there's eToro, which is different because it allows you to automatically copy the trades of experienced traders—ideal if you prefer to learn by watching others.
The truth is, the best trading apps depend on your profile. If you're a beginner with little capital, MiTrade is solid. If you already know what you're doing and want more flexibility, AvaTrade or XM offer more options. Plus500 if you're interested in access to futures and new markets. And eToro if you prefer copy trading.
All are regulated by official institutions, so that provides peace of mind. Still, before investing real money, try the demo accounts. All trading carries risks, but at least with these platforms, you can start without breaking the bank trying.
