I just reviewed the main trading apps that allow you to start with little money, and honestly, a lot has changed in recent years. It used to seem like investing was only for people with a lot of capital, but now anyone can get started with deposits of $20 or $50. I checked out five options that look serious and regulated.
MyTrade is the one I liked the most for starting from scratch. The interface is clean, without unnecessary clutter, and you can trade stocks, cryptocurrencies, gold, all from a single trading app. The minimum deposit is just $20 USD, and they have a demo account with $50,000 virtual dollars to practice risk-free. However, it’s focused on CFDs, so it’s more suited for active short-term trading than long-term investing.
If you already have experience and want more options, AvaTrade offers multiple platforms (MT4, MT5, their own app) and access to more advanced features. Plus500 has a huge variety of assets (more than 2,800) and just entered futures trading. XM is interesting if you’re looking for high leverage, up to 1,000x, though that’s clearly risky. And there’s eToro, which stands out because you can directly copy the trades of experienced traders.
Honestly, choosing depends on your profile. If you’re a beginner, any basic trading app like MyTrade works. If you already know what you’re doing and want more tools, the options multiply. What I do recommend is practicing first with a demo account before putting in real money. All of them have trial accounts. Is anyone using any of these?
