I just saw the question “what is bo” showing up repeatedly in finance groups, so I decided to write this article to warn everyone.

In short, bo (Binary Options - Binary Options Trading) is a type of bet where you predict whether an asset’s price will go up or down in an extremely short period (from 30 seconds to 1 minute). It sounds like easy money, but in reality: you win 80–90% of your capital, but you lose 100%. This mathematical trap makes you lose over the long run, even if you guess correctly 50% of the time.

But the bigger problem is that, in Vietnam, bo is NOT ALLOWED. The Ministry of Public Security has been repeatedly warning about bo scam platforms, especially those that require you to deposit via USDT (TRC20/BEP20) instead of using a bank transfer. Why? To “cut off the money trail.” When you transfer the money in, it is immediately sent overseas and dispersed, so Vietnamese authorities cannot investigate or recover it.

Identifying bo scam platforms is very simple:
- Promise huge profits (x5, x10 your account in a single night)
- Require you to refer friends (a multi-level marketing model)
- Show off luxury cars and mansions of “trading signal experts”
- No license from reputable organizations (ASIC, FCA, CySEC)
- Withdrawals fail, and funds get locked

These platforms constantly “change names and identities” after they collapse. In 2026, they will even upgrade their tactics with Deepfake and AI Bots, with a 99% profit promise. In fact, it’s just programmed code designed to create a chain of fake wins at the beginning—luring you to deposit large amounts—then crashing your account.

If your money is trapped on a bo scam platform, do not deposit more, even if the platform gives excuses. Take screenshots of all evidence (transaction codes, messages, website links) and report it to your local police or the Cybersecurity Department (A05).

Instead of bo, you should choose Forex, CFD, or Crypto through licensed platforms (ASIC, FCA, CySEC). These markets let you control risk, place stop-loss/take-profit orders, and trade on reasonable timeframes. Spend 80% of your time protecting your capital, and 20% finding entry points. That’s how to invest sustainably.
