Someone asked me recently what to do when feeling itchy to chase a rally. I usually pause for two minutes first, then ask myself: Am I adding to my position because of new information, or am I just being driven by the candlestick patterns and group sentiment? Honestly, if the reasons can be summarized in three lines, then the emotion just becomes "fear of missing out." These days, before and after that mainstream public chain's upgrade/maintenance, people are again speculating whether the ecosystem will migrate. I see everyone discussing it quite lively, but whether it migrates or not ultimately depends on who pays, who does the work, and where the budget comes from — not slogans. Anyway, my approach is: if you can't clearly explain your reasons, then do less; don't mistake FOMO for research.
