I've noticed that this year, the crypto community is just obsessed with Telegram games. Honestly, it's no longer just entertainment — it's a whole ecosystem of games with cryptocurrencies, where people actually earn tokens by doing simple actions. I decided to figure out what's going on, and I found a lot of interesting things.

It all started with Notcoin, which literally exploded Telegram at the beginning of 2024. I remember when the NOT token was launched in May, it was a real sensation — over 35 million players gathered in the game. The mechanics are simple: click on virtual coins, then convert them into real NOT on TON. The token started at $0.01, and the market capitalization quickly jumped to $1.1 billion. Now, NOT is trading around zero with a slight gain of 1.60% over the day. Then they launched Notcoin Explore and partnered with Lost Dogs — this is no longer just a click game but a full-fledged Web3 experience.

But the main hit is Hamster Kombat. This is really a viral thing. 300 million players manage virtual crypto exchanges where hamsters earn HMSTR tokens. When it launched, it was just madness. The token is now slightly in the red (-0.54%), but the developers promise a second season and new features. They plan to expand the ecosystem and go beyond the classic click-game mechanics.

Catizen also gained momentum — 34 million active players. The mechanics are different: grow and combine virtual cats, earn vKITTY, which you can then exchange for CATI. The token price is currently around $0.06. Interestingly, they position themselves as a bridge between Telegram and Web3, leveraging the platform's huge traffic.

Moonbix is a separate story. It’s a bot linked to a major exchange but operates as an independent tool for mining DOGS and NOT tokens. Conveniently, you can link your account and track progress directly in the app. There’s also an Airdrop feature — you get free tokens based on snapshots of your assets.

X Empire (formerly Musk Empire) launched in July and has already gathered 35 million players. You build virtual empires and earn. They plan to release the X token by the end of the year. An interesting point — they issued 570,000 NFT vouchers during pre-market trading on Getgems, and people actually paid for them (one was sold for 7 TON, about $36).

Rocky Rabbit is about training virtual rabbits. They participate in battles, quests, solve puzzles. You earn RabBitcoin ($RBTC). The game reached 30 million players, and now the final stage before distribution is underway. The token was supposed to launch in September 2024 and become available on major platforms.

Major is another rapidly growing crypto game on Telegram, with already 30 million active users. You solve daily puzzles, complete quests, collect ranking points, which are then converted into $MAJOR tokens. There’s a fun element — a puzzle involving Pavel Durov, where you need to guess the sequence in his avatars. The token is currently trading at around $0.07. The distribution was highly anticipated because top players received more tokens.

Honestly, 2024 has shown that crypto games on Telegram are not just a trend but a real movement. Each game offers something unique: from simple clicks to strategic quests. But it’s important to remember that all of this is still quite volatile and risky. The crypto token market is unstable, and security is also crucial. Before investing time and money, you should understand each project, protect your assets, and know what you’re getting into. This is a developing area, and not all projects will survive, but the interest is definitely there.
