Interesting things are happening with global wealth this year. Tech magnates are breaking all records, and it's no longer just numbers in rankings — it's some new reality.
The richest person in the world right now is Elon Musk. And we're talking not just about billions, but about 726 billion dollars. This is an unprecedented figure in history. No one has ever reached such a level of personal wealth before. His fortune is growing thanks to SpaceX, which is valued higher and higher, Starlink is expanding, Tesla shares are soaring, plus his influence in AI and neurotechnology is increasing.
Following him are other tech giants. Larry Page from Google has around 270 billion, benefiting from Alphabet's dominance in artificial intelligence. Jeff Bezos is third with 255 billion — Amazon and AWS continue to grow, logistics are expanding.
The list then looks roughly like this: Sergey Brin (251 billion), Larry Ellison (248 billion), Mark Zuckerberg (233 billion), Bernard Arnault (205 billion), Steve Ballmer (170 billion), Jensen Huang (156 billion), Warren Buffett (151 billion). Essentially, these are all people who either founded tech giants or invest in key sectors.
What drives this? First, an exponential surge in AI and cloud computing. Second, space technologies and semiconductors have skyrocketed in value. Third, American tech companies simply dominate on a global level. And most importantly — the founders who held onto their shares made bets that paid off in full.
This is not just a ranking of the wealthy; it reflects where capital is flowing and who controls the future of technology.
