Metaplanet posts $725.6M Q1 net loss as Bitcoin markdowns offset operating gains
Metaplanet posted a net loss of 114.5 billion yen ($725.6 million) in the first quarter of fiscal 2026 after 116.4 billion yen in bitcoin valuation losses. Revenue rose 251.1% year over year to 3.08 billion yen ($19.5 million). Metaplanet added 5,075 BTC during the quarter, taking total holdings to 40,177 BTC as of March 31.
