Techub News reports that, according to crypto.news, Aave CEO Stani Kulechov stated that the newly introduced Clarity Act draft in the United States could mark a turning point for decentralized finance (DeFi) regulation, providing legal protection for developers building non-custodial protocols. He said the bill would allow DeFi teams to confidently build and maintain decentralized protocols without bearing the burdensome obligations applicable only to centralized models. The bill is expected to reduce regulatory uncertainty by distinguishing decentralized protocols from centralized financial entities. He believes that if the U.S. successfully implements a clear DeFi regulatory framework, other jurisdictions may follow suit. Additionally, he emphasized that regulatory clarity, rather than yields, is the main driver of long-term growth in DeFi.
