Techub News reports that, according to CoinDesk, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has called for the removal of Section 604 from the CLARITY Act, stating that this clause makes open-source software developers permanently legally responsible for others using their code without permission, constituting a "dystopian nightmare." This clause requires developers to be responsible for others' use of their open-source software, even if the user does so without the developer's consent. He believes this will create a chilling effect on open-source software development and hinder innovation in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry.
