If you follow tech news at all, you've definitely heard about Elon Musk and all the organizations he's founded or led. He's a guy who doesn't do things halfway, and honestly, his projects are everywhere.
As you probably know, Tesla has become a giant in electric vehicles. Founded in 2003, the company truly revolutionized the electric car industry with models like the Model S and Model 3. What's crazy is that Tesla doesn't stop there: batteries, full self-driving, solar solutions via SolarCity. It has become much more than a car manufacturer.
Next, there's SpaceX, founded in 2002. The goal was simple but ambitious: make space exploration accessible and cheaper. The reusable Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets changed the game, and now SpaceX sends astronauts to the International Space Station. The Starship project for Mars is science fiction becoming reality.
Now, the organizations founded by Musk are not limited to space and cars. The Boring Company, launched in 2016, tackles a different problem: traffic jams. The idea? Underground tunnels for rapid transportation. The Vegas Loop is a concrete example.
Neuralink, also founded in 2016, is an even more futuristic project. The brain-computer interface it develops could revolutionize the treatment of neurological diseases. Brain implants that enable direct interaction with technology are science fiction taking shape.
In 2022, Musk bought Twitter for about 44 billion dollars and rebranded it as X in 2023. It's a major pivot for the platform, with advertising restructuring and changes to the verification system. His goal? Make X a super app with many integrated services.
And then there's OpenAI, where Musk played a founding role in this AI research organization. Although he has left the project since, OpenAI has become a key player with GPT and its applications.
What’s interesting about all these organizations founded by Musk is that they share a common vision: transforming the world into something more sustainable, more advanced, more futuristic. Whether energy, space, transportation, or AI, his projects all aim to solve major challenges. It's ambitious, sometimes controversial, but impossible to deny the impact.
