I just reviewed some Chinese cryptocurrencies that are worth keeping on your radar if you're looking to diversify your portfolio beyond the big names. There are some interesting projects that many people probably don't know about.
Let's start with NEO, probably the most well-known in this group. They call it the "Ethereum of China" for a reason: it is designed to build an intelligent digital economy through smart contracts and verifiable digital identity. If you want a solid environment for developing decentralized applications, NEO offers that. It is currently trading around $3.31 with a positive movement of 3.31% in the last 24 hours.
Next is Conflux, a high-speed Chinese blockchain network that uses a pretty clever Tree-Graph mechanism. The interesting part is that it is one of the few projects with official approval within China, focusing on Web3, digital identity, and collaborations with the government. CFX is at $0.07 and has recently risen 5.01%. That’s something many investors overlook when looking for Chinese cryptocurrencies with potential.
VeChain is different because it directly connects blockchain with supply chains. They track products from source to end consumer, which is especially useful in industry, fashion, automobiles, and food. VET remains at $0.01 with a minor movement of -0.39%. It’s a practical and tangible application of blockchain, not just theory.
Ontology specializes in digital identity and data management. It helps companies create identity verification systems and secure decentralized storage. It is currently trading at $0.06 with a nearly flat movement of 0.03%. It’s less known, but its use case is solid.
Finally, QTUM combines the best of both worlds: Bitcoin’s security with Ethereum’s programmability. It provides a balanced environment for developing decentralized applications with good performance and flexibility for businesses and developers. QTUM is at $1.04 with an increase of 2.62%.
What I observe is that these Chinese cryptocurrencies have real use cases and are not just speculation. If you're considering adding exposure to this sector, it’s worth researching each one according to your goals. Some of these projects have government collaborations and real adoption, which is different from many other tokens that only promise. If you're interested in exploring these options, Gate has good liquidity in these pairs if you want to monitor or make positions.
