Just caught Israel's inflation report for March and the numbers are a bit interesting. The monthly CPI jumped to 0.4% compared to 0.2% the previous month - so the month-on-month inflation is picking up. But here's the thing, the year-on-year inflation actually cooled slightly to 1.9% from 2.0% in February. Mixed signals, right? The Central Bureau of Statistics data shows this inflation trend is kind of all over the place. Monthly pressure is building but annual inflation is still easing. Curious to see if this is just noise or if Israel's inflation is about to shift gears again.
