Harbin Electric's early trading session rose over 4%; the country's first 16-megawatt gas turbine natural gas generator completed full-load testing successfully.
Harbin Electric (01133) rose over 4% in early trading, as of press time, the stock price increased by 4.33%, currently trading at HKD 25.56, with a turnover of HKD 74.9995 million.
Recently, the domestically first 16-megawatt gas turbine natural gas generator independently developed by Harbin Electric successfully completed full-load testing. The unit operated smoothly throughout, with stable combustion, normal vibrations, precise control system response, key thermal parameters, and operational parameters all within controllable ranges. All performance indicators met design requirements, and NOx (@15%O2) emissions were better than national standards.
Citigroup previously pointed out that the 16-megawatt gas turbine independently developed by Harbin Electric is expected to complete testing in the second half of 2026, after which it can be commercialized. The bank believes that Harbin Electric needs to obtain a demonstration project of 16 megawatts in the domestic market to collect operational data and complete maintenance cycles before it can be sold overseas.
