My prediction logic: YES (Will retire)

When everyone is betting on the "immortal myth," I decide to lay out "YES."
This is not blindly counterintuitive, but based on several deep-level arena and business logic:
1. The mission of "father and son sharing the stage" has been achieved
The biggest motivation for LeBron's late career is competing alongside Bronny.
Now that this historic moment has been completed, for a player who has dominated the league for over 20 years, the "torch passing" in spirit has already been handed over.
Turning away at the peak and most dignified moment is more in line with his kingly philosophy than leaving passively during a sharp decline in form.
2. The "irreversibility" of bodily signals
Although the data remains dazzling, we can see the wear and tear on defense and the longer recovery times after games.
By 2026, he will be nearly 42 years old, and long-term high-intensity confrontation means every minor injury could be the last straw that breaks the camel's back.
Rather than waiting for injuries to force him out, it’s better to proactively choose to start the second half of his life during the off-season.
3. The shift of business focus
LeBron's goal has never just been as a player, but as a "owner."
From the Las Vegas expansion plan to his media empire, his off-court layout has entered the final stage.
Announcing retirement during this off-season allows him to have more energy to deeply participate in bidding and managing new NBA teams.
4. The Lakers' rebuilding node
The Lakers are currently in an awkward period on the edge of contending for the championship.
LeBron knows the team needs a thorough infusion of fresh blood and space to rebuild.
His departure can free up a huge salary cap for the team, which may be the last "gift" he leaves for Los Angeles.
