Deep Tide TechFlow News, May 12 — According to Bloomberg, Santa Clara County in California has filed a lawsuit against Meta, accusing it of "knowingly facilitating and profiting from billions of scam ads" on Facebook and Instagram. The complaint states that these scam ads have deceived the elderly and families, and that Meta has tracking behavior related to these ads. Santa Clara County Legal Advisor Tony LoPresti said that Meta earns about $7 billion annually from such ads.
