Just read that Jackson Palmer, the Dogecoin founder, basically quit the entire crypto scene because he's fed up with how toxic it's become. Wild that the guy who literally created one of the biggest memes in crypto is just like nope, I'm out.
What gets me is Jackson Palmer's whole thing about the culture being broken - and honestly when you think about it, he's not wrong. The constant rug pulls, the scams, people getting ruined financially, everyone hyping shitcoins... it's a lot. Jackson Palmer was actually pretty vocal about this stuff before he dipped, warning people about the predatory side of things.
I get why Jackson Palmer would want to step back from all that noise. Like, you create something that starts as a joke and it becomes this massive thing, but then you're watching it get used to hurt people? That's gotta be rough. The irony is Dogecoin itself is probably one of the more chill communities in crypto compared to a lot of the other stuff out there.
Makes you wonder how many other people in the space feel the same way but just don't say it publicly. Jackson Palmer's exit is kind of a reality check that even the founders are getting burnt out on this.
