I often hear that quantum technology could threaten Bitcoin, but Galaxy's Novogratz CEO has a different perspective. He doesn't seem to think that the possibility of quantum computers breaking encryption is that serious.

In reality, there are analyses suggesting that it will take a considerable amount of time for quantum technology to become practical from its current level, and the entire industry is also making progress in developing related technologies. The scenario where Bitcoin's security is suddenly compromised by quantum technology is probably a story for a little further down the road.

If major institutional investors in the crypto asset industry are expressing this view, it might mean that there's no need to worry excessively about this field for now. While keeping an eye on the progress of quantum technology, the realistic judgment is that it isn't seen as an immediate threat at this point.
