Australia's new Mogami warships to add RTX SeaRAM missile defense

RTX’s Raytheon business secured a contract from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to supply SeaRAM ship self-defense systems for Australia’s new Upgraded Mogami-class frigates, replacing the Anzac-class. This marks Australia’s first SeaRAM procurement, covering systems for the first three ships, with deliveries starting in late 2028. SeaRAM provides autonomous terminal defense against airborne threats, enhancing the Royal Australian Navy’s fleet capabilities.
