I just saw that a judge in Nevada once again upheld the injunction against Kalshi sports markets—what’s going on? It looks like Nevada has a pretty strict attitude toward this kind of prediction market, and it has been restricting the operations of platforms like this.

Kalshi is a prediction market platform that mainly lets users trade the outcomes of various events, including sports matches. But in Nevada, they still aren’t allowed to operate within the state, and the judge is still siding with the ban. It feels like Nevada’s approach to regulating prediction markets is a bit different from other states.

This is pretty interesting for the prediction market industry as a whole. While some places are gradually opening up, Nevada is tightening restrictions instead. I wonder how Kalshi will respond next, or whether other platforms might also face similar Nevada ban issues. What do you think about this trend?
