David Marcus: Bitcoin will surpass one million dollars in the long term and will compete with gold



The CEO of Lightspark, David Marcus, believes that Bitcoin could reach one million dollars in the very long term.

Marcus, a former executive at PayPal and Meta, said in an interview with CNBC that Bitcoin is going through continuous cycles of ups and downs, but its long-term historical trend remains upward.

According to his forecast, Bitcoin's value could exceed one million dollars in the very long term, based on the idea that the cryptocurrency can compete with gold and surpass it in terms of market value.

Marcus believes that Bitcoin's strength is not limited to being a store of value but extends to its use as a global network for settling payments and transferring money quickly between countries.

Currently, Bitcoin's market capitalization is around $1.6 trillion, compared to over $32 trillion for gold, which prompts many investors to follow the future of digital currencies as part of the global financial system.
