Elon Musk talking about holding SHIB was already five years ago. In October 2021, he was directly asked by the community and clearly stated, "I don't hold any Shiba Inu tokens at all." There had been speculation that he was secretly holding a large amount until then, so this statement quickly settled the matter.

At that point, it was confirmed that Musk's crypto asset portfolio was limited to Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin. His support for Dogecoin is still well-known today. SpaceX also accepts Dogecoin for certain products. On the other hand, he has completely ignored Shiba Inu.

What's interesting is the market reaction immediately afterward. SHIB, which temporarily declined after Musk's statement, hit an all-time high of $0.00008845 on October 28, just four days later. However, it then dropped significantly, currently about 93% below its peak at that time. This shows the rollercoaster nature of meme coins.

Since 2021, it seems the Shiba Inu community has repeatedly tried to attract Musk's attention. They even tried to link the development team to projects related to government efficiency departments, but Musk has not publicly responded. His portfolio continues to focus solely on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin.
