Okay so I keep seeing these posts claiming George Soros got arrested and every time I dig into it, there's literally nothing there. No news coverage, no court documents, nothing. Just screenshots and memes recycling the same fake story over and over. It's wild how many people share this stuff without checking first. The thing is, if someone like George Soros actually got arrested in the US, it would be everywhere. Major news outlets, DOJ statements, court records - you'd see it all. But there's zero of that. Just conspiracy blogs and anonymous accounts pushing the same narrative. I looked into why this keeps happening and honestly it makes sense. Soros is super wealthy, he's politically active through his foundations, and he's already polarizing to a lot of people. So he becomes the perfect villain for narratives that need someone to blame. When you don't trust institutions anyway, a story like 'he's secretly arrested' just fits right into what you already believe, even if there's no actual evidence. Here's what I do now when I see claims like this - check if real news outlets are covering it, look for official statements or court filings, and be suspicious of anything that's just screenshots with no links. If none of that exists, it's probably just a rumor. The George Soros arrested claims have been floating around for years with nothing to back them up. Pretty much every time I verify it, same result - no credible source, no real documentation. Just people repeating what they saw somewhere else.
