Many people don't know that there has always been a nearly unused status code hidden in the HTTP protocol: HTTP 402 Payment Required.
It was included in the HTTP standard as early as 1997, originally reserved for "future internet payments." But over the past nearly 30 years, traditional internet has never been able to solve a problem:
