TRUMP ANNOUNCES 3 DAY RUSSIA UKRAINE CEASEFIRE.
Donald Trump says Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a temporary three day ceasefire from May 9–11.
According to Trump, the pause in fighting will include:
• Suspension of kinetic military activity
• A 1,000 for 1,000 prisoner swap
• Continued negotiations toward ending the war
Trump said the agreement followed direct requests made by him and thanked both and for accepting the proposal.
The timing aligns with Russia’s Victory Day commemorations, while Trump emphasized Ukraine’s historic role in World War II as well.
If implemented successfully, this would mark one of the most significant pauses in the conflict since the war began.
Markets and global leaders will now watch whether the ceasefire holds or collapses under renewed pressure.
