DTE Energy missed Wall Street’s first-quarter profit estimates due to its energy trading unit swinging to a $25 million loss, despite stronger earnings from its electric utility segment. The company affirmed its full-year operating profit outlook. DTE plans to invest over $6 billion this year to improve its electric and natural gas infrastructure.
