Iranian officials are expected to formally respond to the U.S. proposal of 14 points today

May 8th news, according to Pakistani sources, Iran is reviewing the U.S. response to the 14-point proposal. The 14-point proposal aims to officially end hostilities and open a 30-day negotiation window for detailed discussions on Iran's nuclear program, lifting sanctions, and ensuring the security passage through the Strait of Hormuz. Pakistani diplomatic sources say that Iranian officials are expected to give an official response on May 8th, while the U.S. is waiting for Iran's stance on key issues. Recently, Iran, through mediators in Pakistan, submitted a new plan containing the 14-point proposal to the U.S., mainly including guarantees against further military aggression, U.S. military compensation, and establishing a new management mechanism for the Strait of Hormuz. Trump stated on May 2nd that he would soon evaluate Iran's new plan but "cannot imagine" that the plan is "acceptable."#美伊冲突再升级
