TON, Avalanche, and BNB confirm final transactions in about 1 second
Many Layer 1 blockchains are being compared for final confirmation speed, with TON among the fastest at around 1 second.
Information as of May 7th shows that TON completes final confirmation of the last block in about 0.6 seconds, with the entire process taking approximately 1 second. Avalanche C-Chain and BNB Smart Chain also announced immutable finality around 1 second.
Hedera takes about 2-3 seconds to complete finality. XRP Ledger and Stellar typically confirm the ledger within 3-5 seconds, while Solana uses a delayed confirmation mechanism of about 32 slots to reach consensus.
In the PoW blockchain group, Bitcoin and Litecoin still rely on confirmation conventions through multiple blocks. Ethereum requires two epochs, equivalent to about 12.8 minutes, while Cardano is designed with a finality confirmation time of about 1 day.
