I just read that Konstantin Ignatov was released in March. He is the brother of Ruja Ignatova, the famous Cryptoqueen of the OneCoin scandal. Well, "released" is a funny word since he already served his 34 months in prison before his official conviction. Like he waited for the trial in jail, and after the judge said okay, you can go.

The crazy thing is that Konstantin Ignatov literally helped his sister run this $4 billion scheme. When Ruja disappeared in 2017, he took over and became the de facto leader of the entire scam. During the trial, he even admitted to lying under oath before, like he said he threw his computer in Las Vegas but that was bullshit.

And that's not all. Karl Sebastian Greenwood, the co-founder, got 20 years. Mark Scott, the lawyer involved, got 10 years for money laundering of $400 million. Ignatov himself got two years probation and a confiscation of $118k. Meanwhile, Ruja has been on the run since 2017, even though she's on the FBI's top 10 most wanted list. Rumors say that a drug lord might have killed her in 2018, but that's just hearsay. OneCoin is truly one of the biggest scams in crypto history.
