The total market capitalization of A-shares exceeds 120 trillion yuan, with the electronics sector contributing 40% of the increase this year.
Jinse Finance reports that as of today (May 7) closing, the total market capitalization of A-shares (calculated based on A-share share capital and A-share stock prices) has surpassed the 120 trillion yuan mark, closing at 120.04 trillion yuan, up by approximately 11.29 trillion yuan cumulatively from the beginning of the year.
By industry, the electronics sector made the largest contribution. The A-share market value of the sector increased by 4.68 trillion yuan within the year, accounting for more than 40%. The A-share market value growth of the power equipment, communications, and non-ferrous metals sectors also exceeded 1 trillion yuan each, while the banking and non-bank financial sector performed poorly, with both seeing their market values decrease by more than 6000 billion yuan.
