Daily Gold Selling Approach Plan (XAUT) I
1. Market Overview
Current XAUT price is 4,720 USDT, up 0.7% in 24 hours, a 2.6% increase in 7 days. London gold price is currently around $4,702-$4,711 per ounce, with a premium of about 0.4% on XAUT 4,720 USDT, which is normal for gold tokens in the crypto market.
Support Levels:
4,650 (XAUT approximately equivalent to 4,660) — Today's lowest XAUT price is 4,650, coinciding with the support level marked on TradingView. Strong support, tested today, if broken will enter a new downtrend zone.
4,600 (XAUT approximately equivalent to 4,610) — An important support level marked by InstaForex analysis, a key psychological number.
4,562 (XAUT approximately equivalent to 4,572) — Mid-term support level marked by TradingView technical analysis. Very strong, an extreme decline target, unlikely to be reached today.
Resistance Levels:
4,740 (XAUT approximately equivalent to 4,750) — Intraday resistance level marked by the TradingView community, close to today's high of 4,737. Moderate strength.
4,800 (XAUT approximately equivalent to 4,810) — A psychological number and previous important resistance level, if broken and held above, should switch to a bullish position.
2. Technical Analysis and Short Selling Logic
1. Gold reaches correction resistance zone then retreats: LiteFinance analysis today clearly shows that gold has reached resistance B (4,734-4,713) during the rebound correction, currently undergoing a correction. Rejection of the rebound correction is a standard entry signal for short.
2. The US dollar tends to weaken but gold has not yet broken through: Today's FXStreet analysis headline is "Gold sticks to positive bias above $4,700," but "positive bias" ≠ "breakout confirmation." In the context of a weakening dollar, gold has not yet effectively broken resistance at 4,734, indicating selling pressure above is quite heavy, bullish strength is not enough to push higher.
3. Dual US-Iran situation: US-Iran tensions push oil prices up → inflation expectations → demand for gold hedging, which is the main logic supporting recent gold. But the current situation has entered a "deadlock" — Deutsche Bank analysis shows "no signs of peace talks," the market has fully priced in the tension hedging premium. If signs of relaxation appear (such as rumors of resumed negotiations), the gold hedge premium will quickly return, which is the biggest catalyst for shorting gold.
4. Federal Reserve rate cut expectations canceled: Many major banks (including Barclays) have canceled expectations of rate cuts this year, in a high-interest environment, gold's appeal as a non-yielding asset remains. Although gold recently showed "immunity" to rate expectations, sustained high rates will still limit gold's upside potential.

Risk Control Points
4,750 is the main decision line — If the 4-hour closing price of XAUT remains above 4,750, the short logic fails, cancel the plan.
XAUT liquidity risk — 24-hour trading volume is only about 17.9 million USDT, bid/ask spread can be quite large. Before placing an order, check current market depth to avoid large slippage due to low liquidity. If depth is insufficient, consider trading XAUUSD directly on a professional forex platform.
US-Iran situation is the biggest variable — US-Iran tensions are the main support logic for gold at the moment. Any signs of relaxation (such as rumors of resumed negotiations, reopening of the Strait of Hormuz) could trigger a quick return of the gold hedge premium, which is the most favorable catalyst for shorting gold. Conversely, if the situation worsens (such as military actions), gold prices will break resistance, and the short logic will fail.
