Just realized something wild about bitcoin price history. Back in 2012, BTC was literally trading around $4.86 per coin. Fast forward through the years and you see this insane volatility pattern. 2013 hit $92, then 2014 jumped to $457, dropped to $244 in 2015, recovered to $416 in 2016, and then the real madness started. 2017 saw $1,071, followed by $6,973 in 2018. The swings just kept getting bigger - $4,105 in 2019, then $6,448 in 2020, absolutely exploded to $58,801 in 2021, pulled back to $45,823 in 2022, cooled down to $28,556 in 2023, and bounced back to $70,520 in 2024. Now we're looking at around $80K territory in 2025. Pretty wild to see how far bitcoin price has come from those early $4.86 days. Each cycle tells a different story about where the market was at that moment.
