Just went down a rabbit hole looking at how UK Prime Ministers' wealth changed during and after their time in office, and the numbers are wild. Some of them barely saw their net worth move, while others absolutely stacked it.

Like, Tony Blair went from $1M to $70M - that's the kind of jump that catches your eye. Margaret Thatcher more than doubled hers, going from $10M to $60M. Even John Major managed to go from $1M to $6M. But then you've got Rishi Sunak who was already sitting at $900M+ the whole time, so his tenure didn't really change the dial much.

What's interesting is the variance. Gordon Brown's net worth went from $2M to $5M, which is solid but nowhere near the Blair trajectory. David Cameron went from $50M to $70M - already wealthy, got wealthier. Meanwhile Keir Starmer's numbers stayed pretty stable at around $8M+.

The real question is how much of this is actual wealth generation versus just asset appreciation and business ventures outside of politics. Some of these jumps are pretty insane when you think about it.
