Honestly, when you're looking for interesting projects in the crypto market, you often come across the same thing – everyone is searching for that one cheap cryptocurrency that suddenly will skyrocket to the moon. It's understandable: if a coin costs a penny, even a small increase in price can yield a decent percentage. But here’s the catch – cheap doesn’t mean promising.
Why do cheap coins sometimes attract attention? First, the math is simple. If a cryptocurrency is trading at $0.01, then rising to $1 is already a 100x increase. With an expensive coin, such a jump is impossible just due to market physics. Second, when the market is in a bullish trend and there’s a lot of new money, people are willing to take risks and look for alternatives to Bitcoin and Ethereum. That’s when cheap projects get noticed.
But the main thing isn’t the price, it’s what’s behind the project. You need to look at a few things. Does the project have real utility, or is it just another hype? Is the community active? How is the token economy structured – is the supply limited, is there staking? Has the security audit been completed? And most importantly – are the developers actually building something or just promising?
Here’s an example: in 2025, the Dawgz AI project appeared on Ethereum. It started with a presale, raising about $3.4 million, which hinted at interest. The project tried to combine meme culture with artificial intelligence tools for trading. The code passed security checks by SolidProof, there are 8.888 billion tokens in circulation, and staking is available for holders. On paper, it looks like an attempt to create something useful, not just another cheap cryptocurrency without meaning.
Of course, this doesn’t guarantee success. The market is unpredictable, and even projects with good ideas may not take off. But when searching for promising assets, you need to look beyond the price, verify the team’s reality, and check for a plan. A cheap cryptocurrency with a clear vision and an active community is a whole different story from just a coin that’s cheap because nobody needs it.
In general, if you’re interested in digging into this area, the main thing is not to catch everything in sight, but to choose projects that at least try to do something worthwhile. The rest is already a matter of luck and market conditions.
