Just found out there are some insanely rich animals out there and I can’t stop thinking about it 😅 Like, Gunther VI is a German Shepherd sitting on half a billion dollars in inherited wealth managed through real estate investments. That’s crazier than most people’s net worth.
Then you’ve got Grumpy Cat who literally became an internet legend and made nearly $100 million from merch and endorsements. Taylor Swift’s cat Olivia Benson pulled in around £77 million just from being featured in music videos and ads. These aren’t just pets, they’re actual wealthy animals with more money than entire countries.
The inheritance stories hit different though. Tommaso, this Italian black cat, got $13 million because his owner had no kids and decided he deserved it. Gigoo the chicken inherited $15 million from a British publisher. And Karl Lagerfeld’s Choupette made €3 million in a single year just from modeling. Even Trouble the Maltese got $12 million willed to her (though it got reduced to $2 million after some legal drama).
Honestly the wildest part is how some of these rich animal stories show people literally treating their pets like heirs. Conchita got a whole $8.3 million mansion in Miami plus $3 million cash. Makes you wonder what it’s like to be that pampered.
