Including hair dyes, cosmetics, toothpaste, etc., this year China plans to add 27 new cosmetic standards.

The National Medical Products Administration recently released the 2026 project plan for cosmetic standards in China, proposing to revise 27 standards, covering raw materials for hair dyes, raw materials for cosmetics, general technical requirements and inspection methods standards related to toothpaste, among others, to provide more precise technical support for cosmetic regulation in China. A reporter learned from the Cosmetics Supervision Department of the National Medical Products Administration that new cosmetic raw materials need to go through registration or filing before they can be used in China.
