New Developments in US-Iran Negotiations: Iran Expected to Respond to Ceasefire Proposal on Thursday, Strait of Hormuz May Implement "New Procedure"

May 7 News, according to informed sources told CNN World News, Iran is expected to formally respond to the US-proposed end-of-war plan to mediators on Thursday.

U.S. President Trump previously stated that the US and Iran had "very good dialogue" in the past 24 hours, indicating positive signs in bilateral relations.

Regarding the key waterway, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy said that under the "new procedure," ships can pass safely through the Strait of Hormuz.

However, according to Iranian media, the U.S. military has detained a tanker flying the Iranian flag attempting to head to an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman.

In Lebanon, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that the Israeli military targeted a senior Hezbollah commander, marking the first such attack on Beirut since the Lebanon ceasefire.

All these current situations indicate that although there are positive signals for resolving conflicts through diplomacy between the US and Iran, the regional situation remains complex, and ongoing attention to actions by all parties is necessary.
