Crop biostimulant firm secures £2.5m ahead of first product launch

SugaROx, a crop biostimulant venture spun out of Oxford University in 2021, has secured a £2.5m Series A investment from The Mosaic Company. This funding will facilitate the expansion of trial programs for its proprietary trehalose-6-phosphate (T6P) based biostimulant, aiming for regulatory approval and commercial launch. The company plans to target UK product launch by 2027-2028, followed by expansion into the EU and US.
