Yesterday, trading activity for CME Group's gold, silver, and copper futures declined, while open interest increased.

Yesterday’s gold futures trading volume was 103,620 contracts, a decrease of 26,741 contracts from the previous trading day. Open interest was 371,032 contracts, an increase of 1,481 contracts from the previous trading day. Silver futures trading volume was 28,206 contracts, a decrease of 19,852 contracts from the previous trading day. Open interest was 96,928 contracts, an increase of 34 contracts from the previous trading day. Copper futures trading volume was 41,760 contracts, a decrease of 20 contracts from the previous trading day. Open interest was 232,808 contracts, an increase of 1,625 contracts from the previous trading day. The trading activity of gold, silver, and copper futures has all declined, but the open interest has increased.
