It is revealed that Apple plans to allow users to select competing AI models among the features in iOS 27.
Mars Finance News, May 6 — According to reports, Apple will allow users to choose from a range of external AI services within its software features, as part of its strategy to turn devices into comprehensive AI platforms. Insiders revealed that users will be able to select from multiple third-party AI models for tasks such as text and image generation, editing, and more. This change will be reflected in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, which are set to be released this fall. Apple has already been working with Google to improve support for Siri’s underlying models and has partnered with Anthropic to support internal AI infrastructure and product development.
