Chinese Embassy in the UK Western News, reporter question: Recently, the UK government announced sanctions against some country entities and individuals, including two Chinese entities, on the grounds of providing military supplies such as drone parts to Russia. What is your comment on this? The embassy spokesperson stated that China firmly opposes the unilateral sanctions imposed by the UK without international legal basis and actions that harm Chinese companies’ rights and interests, and has lodged a stern protest with the UK. China has always maintained an objective and fair stance on the Ukraine crisis, consistently committed to promoting peace talks, and strictly controls the export of dual-use military and civilian items in accordance with laws and regulations. Normal exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Russian enterprises should not be disturbed or affected. We urge the UK to immediately correct its mistakes and revoke the sanctions against relevant Chinese entities. China will take strong measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies.
