CoinWorld News, a Norwegian Defense Ministry official confirmed that they have received a notification from the United States that the delivery of weapons ordered by Norway will be delayed. Due to the Iran conflict consuming a large amount of U.S. military stockpiles, the U.S. has informed several European allies that their military sales deliveries may experience long delays. Recent internal assessments within the U.S. Department of Defense and external evaluations both indicate that the stockpiles of key U.S. military weapons and ammunition have been heavily depleted in the Iran conflict, with several missile models having used about half of their quantities, and the replenishment speed is expected to be slow, making it difficult to fill the gap within a few years.
