U.S. Secretary of State Rubio: No Evidence of Iranian Supreme Leader's Death

On April 28, U.S. Secretary of State Rubio stated in an interview with Fox News on Monday that there is no evidence to suggest that Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has died. When asked if he believes Mojtaba Khamenei is still alive, Rubio responded, ‘We have indications that he is still here. Clearly, they claim he is still here. We have no evidence that he is not.’ ‘I think being alive and being in power are two different questions. You can be alive — but I think the question that remains is whether he has the same authority as his father did,’ Rubio added.
