Crypto界消息,AAVE is requesting a U.S. court to lift the freeze on approximately $71 million worth of Ethereum.
The case involves legal disputes related to North Korea, with creditors claiming that the seized crypto assets are used to settle an $877 million legal judgment related to North Korea.
AAVE believes that these frozen funds belong to the users, not the attackers.
The company has filed an emergency request in the Southern District Court of New York to lift the restrictions on these funds.
The core issue of the case is whether the funds truly belong to the users who lost them or to any government or external party.
AAVE warns that continuing to freeze these funds could further harm users and disrupt the broader stability of decentralized finance (DeFi).
