Crypto news, Standard Chartered Bank's venture capital arm SC Ventures has invested in GSR at a valuation of over $1 billion, aiming to further expand its digital asset services. According to Bloomberg, the investment agreement amounts to $150 million, marking GSR's first external investment since its founding in 2013 by a former Goldman Sachs trader. GSR stated that this deal is intended to build a bridge between traditional finance and digital assets and to expand access to tokenization. SC Ventures and GSR plan to develop scalable market infrastructure in response to the growing institutional demand. Standard Chartered Bank has also recently launched digital asset custody services and offers spot trading of Bitcoin and Ethereum for institutional clients.
