According to Politico, the scandal involving Polish cryptocurrency trading platform Zondacrypto is intensifying the political conflict between Prime Minister Donald Tusk and President Karol Nawrocki. The report focuses on the disappearance of founder Sylwester Suszek, the whereabouts of millions of dollars in crypto assets, disputes over customer funds, and crypto regulation legislation. Politico states that Tusk is attempting to use the incident to push for stricter regulation, while Nawrocki denies opposing crypto regulation, claiming he opposes the specific proposals put forward by the government. Previously, approximately 99% of Zondacrypto's Bitcoin reserves are suspected to have vanished, with the company stating that about 4,500 BTC private keys are held by Suszek, who went missing in 2022.
